Pottery Care Instructions
All Magpie Mugs pieces are made of stoneware pottery, which is incredibly durable and can last a lifetime with proper care!
A “food safe” glaze refers is a glaze that is chemically stable and is non-toxic when in contact with food, making it safe for use for eating and drinking from.
Stoneware is dishwasher safe but should not be bumped against other dishes to prevent chipping. When hand washing, avoid steel wool and abrasive cleaners. Let stoneware cool to room temperature before cleaning with hot water to prevent thermal shock.
Stoneware is microwave-safe and retains heat well, so handle it with care when hot.
